There are now 12 Superstar Tech students on board to contribute to the buzz downtown at Creative HQ.
The 2006-2007 period is the first summer the initiative has been run.
The objectives are twofold.
Twelve students gain real world experience, while assisting incubator businesses ProjectX, Chaos Dimention, Let Use It, BrowserCRM, Spikefin and Silverstripe, to take on the market.
From now until the end of February 2007, Creative HQ is looking to be a hive of activity. We have an array of fantastic seminars coming up with key speakers from Trade Me, Weta Digital, O’Reilly Media, Ruby on Rails, ProjectX, Hansel and Optimal usability.
The Summer of Code programme has a strong backbone. Positively Wellington Business, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Foundation of Research and Science Technology and Creative HQ have all heralded their support.
Looking like the basketball hoop here at Creative HQ is going to get a bit more use over summer.
